Class Reflection 4/14/14

Today we started of class by lisitng all the components of an actual Email. We discussed the format, grammar, time managament, introduction of email account. We discussed the importance of re-reading everything before you send it and checking to make sure that the subject area is filled. Then we explored the amazing things that you can do with "PowerPoint". I learned new trick on how to create a game for students to play and how to hyperlink images and text while designing a slide show. I was blown away by the examples that we were shown in class because they looked nothing like your typical powerpoint presentation. I was amazed by all the transitions and effects that could be developed on powerpoint. I loved the fact that you could create a quiz on powerpoint and use it as a quick assessment to see if students learned. We then explored the fabulous word of voice thread, which allowed you to record audio over visual images or upload clips of yourself on any topics. The voice thread website was very effective because it allowed students to connect with different individuals around the world and students were able to leave comments via text,visual, or an actual video recording.
